Abstract

Various approaches to analysing and understanding the human body's dynamic response are listed, and the various types of models which resulted from the experimental investigations are taken as the framework for the discussion of the present status. The discussion of the body's dynamic response to vibration and impact rust remain an unsatisfactory accumulation of data until a more coherent effort in data collection.
