Abstract

The purpose of this paper is: to discuss the process of dynamic modelling and simulation in general terms; to review briefly the application of these principles to several engineering fields; to discuss in detail two examples, one from control system design and one from structural dynamics; and to suggest how techniques successfully utilized in other fields can aid in automotive safety studies in relation to the physical factors involved.
