Abstract

It is considered that the movement of the occupant wearing a safety harnessing the passenger compartment of a motorcar is essentially conditioned by the form of deceleration applied to the attachment points of the harness. In the case of asine wave deceleration-time curve, the initial speed at the time of impact is the main factor. The vehicle's stopping distance has less importance.
