Abstract

The purposes of this study are to analyse the dynamic response of the head and the intracranial pressure distribution for head impact, and to find main parameters governing head impact phenomena. Furthermore, the study is performed to derive the criteria for human fatalities, and to study the effective method of head protection and cushioning. For this purpose, the author has attempted to analyse this phenomena as a dynamically problem of a system consisting of head and cushioning apparatus, thereby using the simplified model.
