Abstract

This report gives keys to start in dynamics modelling with the "Multibody" approach, by the means of a very well known industrial tool: SIMULINK. Pre- and post-processing are driven under MATLAB. A lot of particular arrangements are proposed to provide a rigorous structure to the mechanical approach with the graphical tool. The final program is particularly easy to put into practice. Several mechanical links are described. The wheel-rail contact is a basic model, while the tire road model is the "Magic formula", like those provided by major road dynamics softwares. The associated examples are easy to model. Fast simulation procedures (for real time simulations) are described. (A)
