Abstract

This study reports on the subject of modal substitution i. e. the dynamics of modal split based on longitudinal paneldata. Substitution is investigated as a result of changes in background characteristics of household and individuals, and changes in fuel prices and public transport fares. The aim of this study is to determine the effects of internal and external factors on mobility, emphasising modal split.
