Abstract

The SHRP-NL project involves a Long Term Pavement Perfomance study on a total of 247 test sites, parallel to the LTPP study of SHRP-USA. The project is currently in its third year. All test sites have been allocated and two full rounds of pavement monitoring have been completed. Data processing is currently in its first stage of quality control and analysis of as-measured data. Some early results of this analysis are given in this paper. They pertain to a comparison of asphalt thickness as derived from the road authorities' archives with reality as established through coring. Further, a comparison of distress ratings from broad and detailed surveys is presented. Finally, a check on linearity in deflection data obtained at various load levels on a range of test sites is presented. The paper concludes with an outlook on future analysis. (A)
