Abstract

An investigation is described which measured the earth pressures developed within a pulverized fuel ash fill placed behind a retaining wall. Pressure cells and thermo-couples were installed at four levels in the fill and surveys of the face of the wall carried out at intervals. The results of the measurements are discussed.
