Abstract

In 2007 the EasyGo service was implemented in Norway, Denmark and Sweden and became Europe's first commercial, cross-border EFC system. More than 35 operators, Toll roads and ferries now offer payment to approximately 2 million EasyGo users. The traffic paying by EasyGo has steadily increased since the opening in 2007 and in June 2009 passed two million transactions corresponding to a value of 60 million. The partners in EasyGo want to make the solution and experience gained from implementation and operation of EasyGo available for the development of the future European Electronic Toll Service EETS. This paper describes the system, the experience and how the knowledge and experience from EasyGo may contribute to the on-going European development.
