Abstract

What are the main benefits in European Intelligent Transport System (ITS)cooperation from a national analysis? What should be prioritized, which cooperation should be given a more specific interest? Which ones are most likely to provide good value for taxpayer's money? This presentation will discuss potential national benefits from European ITS cooperation. It is founded in reflections on the Swedish participation in the EasyWay project but those reflections can to a large extent be extended to European/international ITS cooperation in general. Benefits are discussed from four perspectives: European; National; User; and Industrial.
