Abstract
A data bank should be set up for all costs of accidents and for countermeasures to prevent accidents and for the whole field promoting and improving traffic safety. Till now on alone an estimation can be made. On the basis of reasonable supposition the social cost for traffic safety is estimated by the SWOV for 9.3 to 14.1 miljard guilders per year.
