Abstract

The strategy developed in South Africa for the education of young pedestrians involves on-going scientifically-based educational activities in keeping with the child's level of development. The scheme hs been designed to fit in with formal teaching at primary level. Details are given of the construction of the programme, the modules and the materials used.
