Abstract

Research literature is reviewed to identify the educational objectives of pedestrian safety education programmes for young children, and methods of evaluating the outcomes of such programmes. The objectives of a number of overseas education programmes are compared of those of the Victorian primary school unit ''Road-work''. Conclusions are made regarding appropriate objectives and evaluation methods.
