Abstract

With the intent to decrease the number of passengers changing from one line into another a study has been carried out for possibilities of two lines per branch of the public transport network in The Hague. The research led to a design for the public transport network in The Hague with in general more than one line per branch.In the designed network there are more than 50%' less exchanging passengers at a by 13% increased passenger number, compared to a network using the same infrastructure but with only one line per branch.
