Abstract

Car use will increase with 70% in the period 1986 - 2010. Such a growth urges local authorities to take steps because environment, landscape, traffic safety and accessibility will be in danger. It is clear that cooperating local authorities can play an important role in the traffic and transport policy. It is therefore important to know which effects their measures can have. These effects can be forecasted by the use of traffic models. The prompt introduction of a measure can be a problem in a traffic model, while the measures have no direct relation with the input variables or parameters of the traffic model. However, most measures can have also besides the main effect some unintended positive or positive or negative side effects. This study presents which parameters and input variables are influenced by which measures.
