Abstract

A paper over direct demand and equilibrium models is presented. It is necessary to use consistent variables in the supply and demand models to be able to define the state of equilibrium. The aggregated hypothesis is handled in detail. Application of equilibrium restraints on the traditional demand model gives insight into the relation between traffic planning, development in transportation demand, regional development and planning.
