Abstract

The structure, contents and application of a new multicriteria location model for innovative firms in a geographical network are described. Two main assumptions are important: 1. minimisation of physical transport costs and 2. minimisation of information costs. An application of this model to a given firm in the Randstad of the Netherlands will illustrate the scope of this model.
