Abstract
The background philosophy was to get a good traffic behaviour of children in the age of 4-6 years by an integral traffic education. Therefore the traffic situation was reviewed as an aspect of the total world-picture of the child. The need for a more systematized traffic education in kindergartens is stressed and the development of a handbook in traffic education for the teachers is discussed.
