Abstract

During 1977 almost 700 million is spent to medical research in the Netherlands. This is approximately 15% of all research costs. 60% of these costs is spent by the universities, 25% for industries. TNO got 9% and other organizations also 9%. The main costs are for cancer research (55 million per year).
