Abstract
Since 1975 the country-wide and uniform registration of traffic accidents has been processed by the Department of Dutch State Registration of Road Traffic Accidents VOR. An evaluation showed the apparent need for a second generation of the registration system. The Research Centre for Physical Planning TNO carried out a test for a new system based on a segmented geographic base file they had put up for the city of Eindhoven.
