Abstract

The mathematical collision chance model from the Fysikawinkel has been improved as regards the driving behaviour of the driver, and in particular the distance which the driver holds on to the kerb or to the middle of the road. Furthermore another model is developed by which the driver has the choice to drive on or to brake if the pedestrian can be avoided. In the other model the driver brakes always. The models are compared with each other and the results are presented.
