Abstract
A comparative study is carried out on the relative merits of a number of systems for the symbolic presentation of messages on under-panels. As experimental method a concept formation paradigm was used, the task consisting of learning the behavioral consequences of the messages. The system differed in overall numbers of correct responses. This difference was relative independent of variation in messages, context, and age and education of the subjects.
