Abstract

Thee aim of this study was to analyse recent Victorian accidents, injury and speed data to determine the effectiveness of the 100 km/h rural speed limit in reducing the number of road accidents, persons killed and injured in Victoria. In summary, no causal link between vehicle free speeds and accident occurrence could be established.
