Abstract

Accidents in the West London area during the first 12 months of computer control have been compared with the proceeding 12-month period. The results show a statistically significant reduction in all personal injury accidents; no increase in the number of either fatal or serious casualties, and a statistically significant reduction under computer control in the number of pedestrian accidents.
