The effect of aerial speed enforcement on traffic crashes.

Abstract

Police aerial surveillance of traffic speeds in New South Wales commenced in 1986. The effect of the program during 11 months is reported. Its was found that the program reduced the number and severity of crashes around surveillance sites. Thereduction in crashes was around 22%.
