Abstract

Results of a choice reaction-time task in 24 men indicated that alcohol interferes with the response-selection stage of information processing. Results indicate also that some aspects of extrafoveal signal detection performance are impaired at a B.A.C. of 0.10% only when an unexpected response is called for.
