Abstract

The approach taken to investigate the effects of curbs on vehicle behaviour included full-scale testing as well as simulated impacts using the Highway Vehicle-Object Simulation Model (HVOSM). The full-scale tests and parameter study simulations were evaluated to determine vehicle responses as redirection, trajectory, path, roll, pitch, and accelerations. The major findings of the study are described in this report.
