Abstract

A policy has been recommended of edge striping all 24-ft, 2-lane highways but will not mark 2-lane highways that are narrower than 24-ft. Four-lane divided highways with 12-ft- lanes are edge striped only under certain conditions of high traffic volumes high speed in suburban or urban areas.
