Abstract

One of the most important parameters in a vehicle dynamics model is concerning stiffness. Recently a quadratic expression relating concerning stiffness and normal load by correlating tyre test data from four different sources is developed. This quadratic expression is used in lateral stability analysis of a car/trailer system. The change in cornering stiffness in normal load is shown to affect critical speed.
