Abstract
During 1976-1978, the Georgia Depßrtment of Transporta-tion installed reflectorized pavement markers on the cen-terlines of nearly 700 curves in Georgia prhich had hori-zontal curvature in excess of six degrees. :dighttimecrashes veere reduced by about 20~ compared to daytimecrashes at these sites subsequent to the installation ofthe markers. Nighttime single-vehicle crashes veere redu-ced more than other nighttime crashes.
