Effect of sign position and brightness on seeing simulated highway signs.

Abstract

Simulated "Interstate green" signs of varying brightness were shown to subjects against typical highway backgrounds. Experiments performed were designed to study the variables of sign position and brightness in relation to ease of seeing signs under simulated highway conditions.
