Abstract

Contrast is important in determination of dynamic visual acuity (DVA). In this experiment the effect of contrast on eye movement control is masked by the compensation brought about the increased size of targets presented. An equivalence between the effects of reduced target contrast and increased target image velocity on DVA can be calculated.
