Abstract

A safety campaign carried out during autumn 1968 was intended partly to improve drivers' signalling of their intention to turn at intersections. Studies has shown certain deficiencies in signalling behaviour, which might be partly responsible for the increased number of accidents. Analysis of the result showed that the campaign had had no measurable effect on turn-signalling behaviour.
