Abstract

Knowledge that vehicular roll will allow light leakage through a polarized headlighting system led the author to investigate the extent of the problem. He reports that this leakage has an insignificant effect on the ability of drivers to detect pavement markings at night, adding support for the use of polarized headlighting systems.
