Effect of weather on highway construction.

Abstract

Materials, equipment, personnel, and the quality and quantity of work can be adversely affected by weather. Delays in project completion and increased costs can also result. This report of the Transportation Research Board reviews measures taken by highway agencies to mitigate the impact of adverse weather conditions. Practices related to a number of specific construction activities are discussed. /Author/.
