Abstract
Fiscal facilities for commuters will be abolished in the Netherlands to improve the environment and the use of public transport. Thereby the income of the commuters will decrease with a few hundred Dutch guilders per year dependent on the distance between home and work. Possible alternatives can be car pooling, leasing, free public transport season ticket, business transport, or the use of the bicycle. The abolishing of the fiscal facilities will have hopefully a positive effect.
