Effective warning devices for parket/disabled vehicles : executive summary.

Abstract

Results of an experiment which examined the effectiveness of several alternative warning devices to be used on or with parked or disabled vehicles at the roadside to warn motorists for their presence, are reviewed. The use of standard four-way flashes results in an additional positive effects; use of triangles in addition to flashers caused another incremental positive effect.
