Abstract

This report summarizes the results of a 3-month investigation whose purpose was to determine the effectiveness of head restraints in alleviating whiplash injury in rear-end collisions. The data base was all rear-end impacts occurring in the city of Rochester during the period 17 January 1972- 16 April 1972.
