Abstract

The presentation mentioned in B 30681 is commented upon. It is generally agreed that an optimal triage system will identify the great majority of patients with life threatening and severe injuries requiring the resources of the trauma center while minimizing the number of non- critical patients transported to trauma centers. However, there is a chance for an increased rate of overtriage.
