Abstract

Multi anti reflection coatings have become popular additions to spectacle lenses to aid in the reduction of glare in various situations. There is little published study on the effect of anti reflection coats in such situations. The paper investigates subjective views on the performance of these coatings and uses contrast sensitivity measurements to quantify the glare reducing effect of the coatings. (A)
