Abstract

Though many pedestrian subways have been built across arterial road in metropolitan cities, reports of detailed studies in their effectiveness are scarce in the technical literature.Effectiveness of subways may be impaired due to situations constraints, defective design and unfavorable perception accompanied by negative feelings by the users.
