Abstract

Local authorities are implementing in the Marseille Metropolitan Area transport demand management policies using ATT. In comparison with the "do nothing" option, these policies should produce a noticeable traffic reduction as well as an even more important decrease of air pollution and energy consumption in the city centre. These results have been assessed with a traffic forecasting model linked to speed-dependent emission-consumption factors. (A)
