Abstract

Ten subjects responded to two stimuli separated by varied inter-stimulus intervals. At the shorter intervals alcohol increased the reaction time to the second stimulus, suggesting that alcohol shows down the brains information processing. The implications of the findings in relation to automobile driving are discussed.
