Abstract

The impact of a bypass in Ramla is evaluated as a before and after study. The bypass reduced the volume of through traffic along the major arterial, reduced traffic and pedestrian accidents, and at the same time, created more favourable conditions for the development of the city's commercial community. It is argued that the strong opposition to a bypass should be re-examined.
