Abstract

A recently proposed model was applied for measuring the effects of psychoactive drugs on arousal in humans during the presentation of videofilms. Though all groups reported significantly stronger feelings of arousal while viewing the provocative videofilms than during the neutral film, electrophysiological and neuroendocrine parameters failed to change significantly in the same manner. Differential drug effects, relative to placebo, were also generally lacking during the provocative videofilms.
