Abstract

This article presents the findings and conclusions derived from an analysis of Michigan traffic accident and related data for the periods before, during, and after the peak energy crisis months of 1974. A major objective of this study was to identify the effects of the speed limits imposed as a result of the energy shortage. Some other causative factors relating to traffic crashes also were investigated.
