Abstract

This paper surveys some of the principle considerations involved in the achievement of the services - primarily that of the Army. One of the principal ways of achieving better reliability in for adequate consideration to be given to the way in which equipment will be used and the environmental conditions within which it must operate. Defence expenditure is being harder and harder and the Ministry of Defence cannot affords the ineffective use of their resources which poor reliability produces. The problems only can be solved by a clove partnership between Industry and Army.
