Abstract

Results of this study confirm the significant rate that exposure to risk play in determining accident and conviction experience and further show that: 1) of all the exposure variables studied, the quantitative measure of average annual mileage is the best single predictor of driving record and 2) the qualitative exposure variable of daytime/nighttime driving ratio is second only to quantitative exposure in being useful predictor of driving record.
