Abstract

This study was designed to provide some knowledge of one aspect of driver behaviour; the effects of traffic controls upon turn-signaling behaviour of motor vehicle operators. Two-way stop, four-way stop, and signal controlled intersections were selected for comparison of their effects upon the frequency of use and the distance of employment of left turn signals given by motorists performing such turns.
