Effects of prolonged driving on heavy goods vehicle driving performance.

Abstract

Twelve professional heavy goods vehicle drivers were studied over an eleven hour driving period, undertaken by each driver for four consecutive days. The only factor found to significantly affect time headway and its variability was dence of impaired driving as a function of prolonged driving was found.
